Overview Job Description: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): 1. Greet guests at table within three minutes with a warm and welcome manner with introduction and an offering of a beverage. 2. Delivers drinks to the table and inform the guests of the daily specials and soup of the day along with any other pertinent information the guests need to know e.g. any items that are currently out of stock. 3. Asks for and takes the guests meal order. Offers suggestions, such as wine pairing with items ordered and suggests an appetizer to start the meal with. Upsells! 4. Enters and reviews order at POS system. 5. Maintains table maintenance. 6. Delivers orders accurately and in a timely manner. 7. Presents guest checks and collects payments accurately and in a timely manner. 8. Maintains a cheerful, positive attitude and appropriate conduct with both guests and teammates at all times. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One year of serving experience in a full service, similar concept is required. Language Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: TIPS certification and ServSafe cerification preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs., be able to work long hours/split shifts and be able to handle stressful conditions. Must be able to reach, grasp and feel. Hours: Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime.
