Location: Bowling Green, KY Category: Staff Posted On: Wed Oct 2 2024 Job Description: The job entails working on an externally funded grant dealing with machine learning and near-surface meteorology. The applicant is expected to have a firm grasp on calculus based meteorology, statistics, and GIS. The applicant will work primarily work on the meteorological component of the grant with focus on temperature inversions and climate change indices that will be derived from Kentucky Mesonet data. The applicant will also be expected to produce GIS maps of land use/land cover, remotes sensing products, and Kentucky mesonet derived fields.
