The Part-time/On-Call Shuttle Bus Driver performs technical support engineering from detailed procedures in such areas as Maintenance, Transportation support, Inventory/Warehouse support, and Test and Engineering Operations. Responsibilities Ensure safe trips to and from the secure area and other buildings at the Air Force Base. Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting. Perform simple or routine tasks or tests, like operating and adjusting simple test equipment, operating vehicles, handling equipment, and maintaining various records. Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data, like tests, drawings, inventory records, and maintenance records, etc. Perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plotting data, and drawing simple curves and graphs. Conduct maintenance operations. Function independently to resolve problems, advising staff members to meet established objectives. Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems. Maintain inventory, prepare order quantities, and track resupply activities. Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance. Prepare materials for shipping. Operate test and diagnostic equipment. Operate handling equipment. Operate/drive various vehicles. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent GED required Valid driver’s license CDL required Public Trust and NACI required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to professionally greet passengers. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conscientiously follow written and verbal instructions. Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment. Operation of heavy equipment, including trucks and forklifts, for general material handling. Ability to maintain a driver’s license. Ability to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques. Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back. Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications. Ability to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
