Part Time Acoustics Faculty for Study Abroad

Job Description:

Berklee College of Music, Valencia Campus is seeking a Part Time Acoustics Professor for the undergraduate study abroad program. This part-time position reports to the Director of Study Abroad and Special Programs. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and effective acoustics instructor with a professional profile who can teach undergraduate music students. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Deep knowledge of acoustics required, experience with music acoustics preferred

Advanced degree in Acoustics or Acoustical Engineering is strongly preferred

Must be able to speak and teach in English 

Experience teaching at the university level 

Strong teaching ability, communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach a course in General Acoustics

Engage with students outside of the classroom and assist with special activities if needed 

Participate in undergraduate faculty meetings and other professional development activities

Other duties as assigned 

START DATE AND DURATION 

The start date for the position is end of August 2025 and will continue, if needed, through May 2025
