This role is aligned to support the Rotating Parts & Compressor Airfoils Part Family, in close collaboration with the GE Aerospace Materials Planning team, and will facilitate Customer Delivery problem solving for the Parts assigned. Roles and Responsibilities
Absorbs total demand profile from all customers for end items and translates total demand to level requirements aligned to customer need within manufacturing constraints.In partnership with Site Materials Leaders and Plant Leaders, lead the collaboration with external S&OP, Forecasting and Product Line teams to highlight constraints at the part family level.Owns the standardization, aggregation, and strategy for the site/Part family/product line industrial data collection (standard work content, OEE%, staffing options, production line change-overs and manufacturing lead time) with Site Operations and Engineering teams to optimize labor, equipment and work-in-process / finished goods plans.Champions application of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to continually optimize connected flow across the extended supply chainAnalyzes capability and total capacity of the production areas defined.Collaborates with Site Materials team to define and apply elements of the production system and set pace for upstream supply chain.Collaborates with central planning teams to perform tasks related to production planning.Partners with assigned product lines to communicate and problem solve key constraints across the part family.Leads communication and response to all customer escalations from the manufacturing sites.Has ability to assess quality of information and uses multiple internal and external sources to arrive at decisions.Facilitates opportunities to optimize delivery, inventory, and productivity through problem solving and continuous improvement.Influences the development of strategy for the production areas defined, including control of resources and policy formation.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks in areas of operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.Communicates difficult concepts and influences others to try processes outside of traditional practice.May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years materials, production planning, sourcing or supply chain operations experience) + minimum of 3 years materials, production planning, sourcing or supply chain operations experience in a manufacturing environmentDesired Characteristics
