Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring department staff are trained and guests have a positive experience while meeting or exceeding company standards. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Start Date: January 2024 Pay: starting at $18.85 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Mount Rushmore National Memorial? During off season we range from 2-4 employees, while in peak season we increase to about 20 employees. Assists in coordinating with guests, National Park Service and other departments to plan, prepare, and execute parking related details and special requests, including but not limited to signage, bus tours and special events. Assist the Parking Manager with inspecting the parking facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health codes and safety regulations. Addresses and resolves guest inquiries and complaints, escalating as needed. Analyzes information such as daily staffing, guest attendance, and labor costs to assist in maintaining cost control of parking operations. Oversees scheduling of department employees to ensure operational needs are met. Understand and actively support Company’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Sustainability efforts. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Business Administration, Construction Management or related program; or one year hospitality supervisor related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to be professional at all times and provide a positive guest and employee experience. Ability and willingness to work outside in various weather conditions and temperatures at elevations over 5,000 feet. Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities could change quickly and with little notice. Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks. Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work. Physical Requirements include: Constantly walking. Frequently standing, handling, lift/carrying 10-20 pounds, pushing/pulling 12-25 pounds. Occasionally sitting, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying over 21 pounds, pushing/pulling oaver 26 pounds.
