Park Services Lead or Housekeeping Lead


Job Summary: 

The position is responsible for proactively maintain a safe, clean environment for our guests. Duties include management of team members, cleaning of grounds, restrooms, disposal of trash, assisting guest and giving directions and park information, as needed, in a friendly manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Maintain an assigned area for cleanliness while providing World Class Service to our guests. Work as a team in your assigned area of park to clear all natural debris using backpack leaf blowers. Manage team member breaks in alignment with park, state, and federal labor law guidelines. Manage a team of up to 10 people while monitoring performance, breaks, quality, and tasks. Train team on the use of all Park Services equipment including compactors and backpack leaf blowers. Perform periodic performance reviews with team members. Delegate tasks as deemed appropriate. Responsible for washing midways in a timely and efficient manner. Lift, transport, push, and pull all trash and recyclables throughout park. Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. Ensure guest and team member safety.  Use chemicals and products in accordance with product label and MSDS standards. Responsible for the use and care of all equipment assigned. Conduct coaching/counseling sessions with Team Members. Serve as a Park Guest Service Ambassador and work to resolve all guest concerns brought to your attention. Monitor team member demeanor and performance; reward, motivate, and/or reprimand as needed. Enforce all Six Flags policies and standards on a daily basis. Maintain assigned area for cleanliness, including restrooms and midways. Complete any and all task as requested by Six Flags Management. 

Pay Rate: $14/hr.

Skills and Qualifications: 

At least 16 years of age Be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language Previous rides experience  Be available to work flexible hours at night, on weekends and on holidays  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a mustMust possess an enthusiastic and positive Guest First Orientation and enjoy working with peopleAbility to motivate with excellent leadership skillsMust be self-motivatedOutstanding performance as a team member Must be able to respond immediately, adapt to, and oversee all emergencies Strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Reliable transportation that supports an early morning shift start and/or late evening shift end. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to understand English and be able to communicate effectively with staff and guests. Must be able to stand for long periods and walk the park and parking lots on a continual basis. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
