JOB SUMMARY: The Transportation Driver's overall objective is to ensure the safe transport of campers, staff, and VIP guests.  Additionally, they will support all departments with seeking and supplying materials and operational needs.  They will drive in a manner that is safe, reliable and within all laws, Woodward's Fleet Vehicle Policy and safety protocols.  You must be willing to evolve and adapt with the needs of the business and adhere to and support all work protocols and guidelines.

This position is classified under California's Camp Counselor exemption (LAB 1182.4 and Wage Order 5). Employees are paid a weekly salary of 85% of their hourly rate for hours worked between 40- 56 hours per week or will be paid at 85% of their hourly rate for each hour worked if the employee works less than 40 hours per week. Any hours worked over 56 will be paid at overtime rates, in accordance with California labor law. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Provide safe and efficient transportation to campers, staff, and VIPs   

Serve with a team of drivers to provide around the clock coverage of transportation duties   

Provide on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basis for transportation services   

Attend to unaccompanied minor travel, coordinating with parents and airport staff   

Comply with all aspects of Woodward's Fleet Vehicle Policy 

Ability to drive assortment of Woodward vehicles including a 15-passenger van

Contribute to the overall supervision and safety of all campers  

Assist with organizing execution of recreation activities for younger campers   

Other duties as assigned

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:  

Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines   

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly.

Comfortability in interacting with kids aged 8-17 

   

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:  

Must have customer service experience
