Reference PE002915 Location KwaZulu Natal, Pinetown Salary Interval Monthly Package None-negotiable Description Our client in the Financial Services industry based in Westville, Kwazulu-Natal currently looking to employ a Paraplanner.
Requirements:
4-5 years in the financial services industry. Relevant tertiary education or courses. Exposure to financial planning. Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint essential); SharePoint XPlan; IWP and PGP (advantageous) High-energy, customer-focused, and relationship-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Detail-oriented, analytical, with math skills and initiative. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills, adaptable to client needs. Strong time management, assertive, proactive, resilient under pressure.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Client data management:
Maintain accurate and complete client data in CRM systems (e.g., XPlan), creating efficient data capture methods. Produce clients’ comprehensive wealth profiles and enable a “single view of family” by managing joint entities. Integrate CRM data with methodology tools, ensuring completeness, accurate labelling, and integrity across applications. Update client data on XPlan after financial planning sessions and prepare data for client reviews. Financial Planning preparation and Client Reviews:
Complete training on preferred financial planning tools and pass competency assessments. Prepare XPlan Wealth Maps at least 7 days before client engagements. Draft client Personal Goal Plans (PGPs) and records for the Partner to finalize. Prepare Integrated Wealth Plans (IWPs) to a stage where scenario planning can be handed over. Ensure all plans are compliant, saved on XPlan, and reflect updated client data. Prepare for client reviews as instructed, maintaining readiness to join review meetings as assessed by the Partner. Collaborate with Assistants, Product Providers, Wealth Account Managers, and Broker Consultants to support the financial planning process. Attend compliance meetings with your Partner and promptly address any remedial actions. Operational support for Portfolio Managers and Client Relationship Managers:
Align with the Financial Planning Partner to integrate the financial plan with the Private Client Share Portfolio mandate, ensuring compliance. NAV (internal software), IT, Systems and KPIs:
Manage and maintain client records and tasks in XPlan to ensure practice-wide compliance and alignment. Keep records per business rules, legislative requirements, and store safely in XPlan. Stay informed on NAV to support the Financial Planning Partner(s). Coordinate with the Partner on NAV data and practice details. Monitor and track your KPI score on NAV, seeking guidance from the Partner Operations or Business Development Manager to improve scores when needed.
