Paralegal – Real Estate Group

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our client's team. Reporting to the Real Estate Department Lead, this role primarily supports real estate transactions, working closely with legal professionals to ensure seamless document preparation and transaction completion.
Responsibilities:
Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions.Draft leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, trust letters, and other real estate documents.Request and process mortgage advances, stage payments, and file payouts for residential, commercial, and builder mortgages.Review and interpret title work and surveys.Coordinate and prepare documents for transaction closings.Conduct various searches, including tax, title, company, and Personal Property Registry.Review legal documents and files prepared by legal assistants.Communicate with clients, solicitors, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents.Qualifications:
Paralegal or Legal Assistant certificate/diploma from a recognized institution.Minimum 3 years of experience in real estate law as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.Strong knowledge of provincial and federal real estate laws and terminology.Experience drafting legal documents.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle time-sensitive projects.This position offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and a supportive work environment - hybrid is available upon learning the business.
