Job Summary: Responsible for managing the production and presentation of cold foods and desserts, overseeing a team of kitchen staff while ensuring high standards of quality and sanitation. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: May through October 2025 (exact dates vary by location) Pay: $18.50/hr Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Glacier National Park? Development and training of 2-7 employees. Monitor production levels and assign tasks to Kitchen Worker. Communicate closely with Chef on duty. During peak service times, assist attendants with plating items for service. Monitors guest buffets and cold bars to ensure all items are available and presentable. Maintain and enforce established Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout pantry/salad areas of the kitchen. Must either have completed or will complete the ServSafe Manager training at beginning of Xanterra employment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have a working knowledge of basic cooking practices. Previous supervisory experience and understanding of high volume kitchen operations. Being able to remain calm in a high stress environment is essential for these positions. Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, high stress environment. Physical Requirements include: Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours. Must be able to walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
