Job Description

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associatesMust be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guest.Must remain professional in all situations.Understand and acknowledge of proper uniform and grooming standards.Ensure that the lobby public areas are maintained and cleaned by liaison with housekeeping departmentAssist with monthly inventory.Adhere to all policies regarding employee purchases.Follow proper procedure for accepting credit cards and checks.Maintain a cash bank.Verifying guest room numbers for room charges.Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied.Adhere to proper food handling procedures.Proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures.Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machineWalk-in refrigerator, Room Service tables, hot box,General office equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, printer, telephones, hole punch, paper cutter, scissors, pen, pencil, paper, etc.Computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.Corporate software programs such as Kronos WFC, Open Table, Synergy, and EpitomeInterior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom. Exposure to extreme temperatures.Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.Exposure to food items and beverages. Qualifications

Required Skills:

Minimum 1 year cash handling experience

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 20 poundsAble to be on your feet for up to eight hours

Working Environment:

Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidaysAble to communicate effectively with guests and other associates
