**Painter** **Job Description** **Location: Kansas City, MO** **SUMMARY** Successful applicant will prep products for paint using power and air tools on a daily basis. Applicant must be able to read, interpret, and understand detailed design prints. Successful applicants must be able to work in a steel fabrication shop environment on a daily basis. Successful applicants must be a team player, able to easily interact with others, and have a solid work ethic. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Other duties may be assigned. + Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures. + Prepare parts for coating by spraying off debris. + Operate all coating equipment including paint guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems. + Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects. + Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality with visual inspections or using proper equipment. + Bake painted parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations. + Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, washes, and pretreatments. + Ensure all painted components meet established goals for quality and the customer’s order. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with the company’s procedures and regulations. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
