Job Title: Painter Helper
Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Painter Helper for a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. This position offers two shifts: first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The Painter Helper will support the paint department by preparing parts for the operators, which includes pulling paint, mixing paint, filling out paperwork, racking, un-racking, and part surface preparation.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts for operators in the paint department.Pull paint and mix paint as required.Fill out necessary paperwork.Support the racking and un-racking of parts.Stage and prepare orders for processing.Prepare the surface of parts for painting.Inspect in-process paint jobs using inspection tools.Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-rays, and thickness gages.Essential SkillsExperience in paint preparation and mixing.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.Proficient in using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic sketch and blueprint reading skills.Experience with inspection tools like duelscope.Attention to detail and ability to fill out paperwork accurately.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
