Painters are responsible for operating the batch and automatic powder coat paint booths to ensure all products are painted to meet quality and customer specifications.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Load products onto the paint line
Mask and plug non painted sections of product as appropriate based on work instructions or blueprints
Unload and pack finished product into boxes on pallets
Assist in maintaining powder/chemical levels on automatic and batch lines and add as needed
Use spray guns to apply chemical wash and powder paint on products as appropriate based on work orders
Clean EV room and all paint guns, ventures, hoses, and tips daily and as needed for color change overs
Use computer/tablet to clock off work orders in Heijunka system
For This Role, You Will Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
Ability to carry objects; perform dynamic activities including reaching and stretching; and frequent bending and twisting of the torso
Ability to pass respirator physical
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water. May be exposed to any number of these elements.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Associates Degree in any field
Prior experience operating powder coat paint line
Proficient with computers/tablets and use of Microsoft Office products
