Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Painter with expertise in overseeing painting processes and techniques. The ideal candidate will lead a team of painters, train less experienced individuals, and ensure adherence to manufacturing painting specifications. The Painter must be able to communicate effectively with planning to maintain proper paint and equipment stock, read manufacturing specifications, and apply paint according to mixing requirements and application processes. Knowledge of finishing surfaces by grinding, sanding, and polishing prior to priming is essential.

ResponsibilitiesOversee painting processes and techniques.Act as a lead person to painters, including training others with less experience.Communicate with planning to maintain proper paint and necessary equipment stock.Read and interpret manufacturing painting specifications, mixing requirements, ratios, and application processes.Finish surfaces by grinding, sanding, and polishing prior to priming.Ensure all paints are mixed according to manufacturing guidelines and maintain proper paperwork for traceability requirements.Regulate sprayer valves and nozzles to control width and pressure.Spray with lacquers and, preferably, with epoxies.Maintain and care for spraying equipment.Lift one-gallon paint cans throughout the day during the application process.Follow company policies, including wearing personal protective equipment.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of painting experience.Familiarity with painting assembled aircraft parts using milspec leading edge applications.Certification in a related field.Ability to lift one-gallon paint cans throughout the day.Knowledge of sprayer valves and nozzles for regulating width and pressure.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.Punctual and reliable.Exhibits good judgment and personal as well as professional integrity.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Good communication and hands-on skills.Experience in the aerospace industry (aircraft) is a plus.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
