Job Description: Paint Scheduler_Pierce Wisconsin
JOB SUMMARY:
The position, Paint Scheduler, is responsible for gathering all pertinent information from sources such as dispatch, shipment schedules, chassis availability schedules, and assembly line report-outs to help prioritize daily goals. The Paint Scheduler will also need to accurately determine paint options and order coatings in a timely manner based on several months of backlog. This position is also responsible for pulling, analyzing, and publishing historic labor hour reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Monitor inventory for shortages and overagesProcess and reconcile inventoryBalance schedule based on customer requirements, which includes late additions and change ordersMonitor and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipmentsAbility to read and understand layout and design concepts from paint drawings and work ordersExpedite shortages across dock and through purchasing and paint.Contribute to Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goalsCoordinate work with material handlers, planners and manufacturing teams to achieve goalsCorrect Bill of Materials (BOM) through the BOM query systemMaintain location managementAbility to direct work activities of other team members in designated work area and provide detailed instructions related to paint tasksAccurately create kit parts lists for various coatings operations to ensure parts are completed on timeAbility to interact with chassis vendors and other suppliers to ensure that products, parts, and assemblies are delivered to the paint shop in a timely mannerUtilize multiple internal inventory computer processes to manage inventoryContribute to all Safety and 5S goalsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in related work areaFollow oral and written instructionMaintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsDemonstrate effective interpersonal communication skillsRegular attendance requiredAll other duties and responsibilities that are assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1 or more years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelProficient in JDE or similar MRP systemOne year or more supervisory experienceSix months scheduling and manufacturing experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
