Job Description: Paint Prep

Work Location: Vandalia – 3520 Old Springfield Rd, Vandalia OH 45377

Work Location & Shifts:

1st shift is 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday

Pay:   $19.00 an hour. Occasional (OT).

Overview

Reads orders, gathers ordered materials/doors, reads/interpret tickets, pull, clean, and install glass inserts according to customer order(s).

What you will need:

Preferably one year experience in manufacturing settingHS Diploma or GED preferredAble to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenHigh School Diploma or equivalent, preferred not required
 

What you will do:

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesReads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machineryAdjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashionHas knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldMaintain a safe and clean work environmentDoor and glass knowledgeCommon power tool operationBasic cleaning knowledgeMust be able to read/interpret ticketsOperate hot gun, caulk gun and pneumatic screw gunStrong knowledge of door types preferredModerate knowledge of door/customer quality specs, pull placards and load list detailsUse of small hand tools, basic math and reading a tape measureMust be able to stand for long periods of timeRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer serviceFollow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
