Job Description
The Line Operator will be responsible for operating the Oven Room and ensuring the successful preparation of furniture for painting after the Electro Ceramic Coating department. This role requires working in a hot environment, closely monitoring gauges, and managing the drying process of furniture. The candidate will also learn the intricate powder coating process to ensure perfect paint placement.
ResponsibilitiesOperate the Oven Room and manage the drying process of furniture.Monitor gauges and equipment while lifting and attaching furniture to hooks.Learn and execute the powder coating process on furniture.Lift materials weighing between 60lbs-70lbs unassisted.Monitor approximately 24 electrical boxes and machine functions.Document outputs and ensure precise equipment and measurement monitoring.Understand process and product flow, including temperature monitoring and timing techniques.Essential Skills1-2 years of machine operation and process manufacturing experience.Mechanical inclination with at least 5 years of experience.Powder Coating or Industrial Spray Painting experience preferred.Experience in Control Room/Oven Operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in manufacturing or a related field requiring precision.Understanding of mechanical and electrical functions.Flexibility to work independently and maintain a steady pace.Artistic history or experience in Auto Paint industry is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is clean and well-lit but can be hot, especially in the coating department due to the chemical processes. Shift times are flexible, ranging from early morning to late afternoon, with potential changes to support extended operation hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
