A Brief Summary
The Paint Associate Level 4 is an individual contributor in the Paint Department. This person is responsible for liquid painting using air aissist airless spray equipment, mixing and thinning paint, operating plural component spray equipment, maintaining spray equipment, deglaring galvanizing, powder coating utilizing electrostatic application equipment, measuring and recording coating thickness and atmospheric conditions, operating blasting equipment including centrifugal blasting cabinets and nozzle blasting, operating cranes and Lowerators to hang and unhang various product, and operates packaging equipment. Uses IFS labor reporting system, standard shop forms, move tags, reads and utilizes shop drawings. Must be able to hammer, grind, and use a variety of different tools.
Essential Functions:.
Use of liquid paint spray equipment, mixing and thinning paint, and maintaining spray equipment.Use of plural component spay equipment to apply a below grade polyurethane and maintain spray equipment. (Similar to truck bedliner application).Performs deglaring process on galvanized poles after mixing chemical ingredients to proper specificationsUse electrostatic powder coating equipment as well as performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance of the equipmentUse measuring devices such as a dew point meter, dry film thickness gauge, and surface profile gaugesOperate bridge cranes, gantry cranes, forklifts, blasting equipment, and packaging equipmentRead and decipher shop drawings and reference finish specificationsBend and pivot as well as lift, push, and pull objects weighing 50 pounds through out the shiftAbility to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and climb stairs and laddersMust possess acceptable work history and attendance recordAbility to work overtime when required for business needsThe ability to be forklift certified within first 90 days of the jobImportant Details about the Role

1+ year of industrial liquid painting experience including mixing and thinning paint and the use of pressurized spray equipmentAbility to lift an average weight of 20 to 40 pounds, 40% of the time(i.e., all small parts, arms and pedestal bases), and lift 50 pound containers 5-10 times per shiftThe ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawingsBasic working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook or similar email softwareThe ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issuesThe ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of peopleThe ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructionsThe ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards in a high-paced working environmentWear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow facility safety regulationsHighly Qualified
Experience applying powder coating materialsExperience operating overhead cranes and forkliftsExperience using dry mill thickness gauges, wet film thickness gauges and micrometersExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsBenefits
