Pads Team Lead 2nd Shift
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Team Lead 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** **Job Summary** Responsible for overseeing the Pads department and support other functions as needed to successfully meet production goals. **Job Responsibilities** • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of Pads areas. • Provides training and direction to all technicians within the department to ensure all elements of manufacturing are being followed and executed to expectations with safety and quality in mind. • Oversee and control day-to-day activites of Pads technicians. • Drive productivity within the department. • Schedule work for the department and assign daily work for all technicians. • Ensure Pads technicians perform their tasks following verbal and written instructions. • Work closely with Engineering on new products and processes to identify capability gaps and assist to develop work instructions. • Monitor and verify all Pads equipment is up to date within calibration requirements, in good working condition, and can product quality product. • Assist Engineering and technicians with trouble shooting Pads malfunctions or test results. • Support the implementation of corrective actions related to safety and quality. • Support cross functional training to promote within, also the interviewing and hiring process. • Responsible for requesting equipment and supplies needed to support these departments. • Ensure all regulations are being followed, including proper use of PPE and the operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. • Make sure manufacturing areas are kept clean, organized and neat per 5S+ values. • Support continuous improvement events and the execution of new initiatives. • Support Pads Supervisor. • Override TTR. • Print out production work orders. • Lead all daily Tier Meetings at the beginning of each shift. • Monitor tier boards. • Daily pass down emails at end of each shift. • Communicate with other shift Team Lead(s). • Provide weld booth and final assembly setup time. • Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED required. + At least 4 years of manufacturing experience + At least 2 years of leadership experience **Technical knowledge** • Must have the ability to read and understand written communications including basic operating instructions. • Ability to train, develop, and mentor others. • Good verbal and written communication skills. **Skills:** + Abide by Eaton Values and Philosophy.
