JOB SUMMARY

\n

100% on-site - start date June 2, 2025

The PACS/RIS Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, management, and improvement of work processes in Diagnostic Imaging, related to the applications used to support Diagnostic Imaging operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Demonstrates basic level knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment.

Responsible for day-to-day operations and integrity of Imaging based applications & devices including image workflow, equipment and other related activities.

Works closely with Imaging personnel to ensure the complete capture of DICOM digital image data into PACS as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling in all necessary applications in a timely manner.

Provides system administration support to departmental leaders. Generates statistical reports on utilization, compliance, and other metrics Performs, as needed, charge capture reconciliation, requesting new procedure codes and ensuring correct charges are applied to accounts.

Implements and conducts user training programs. Provides technical and problem-resolution support. First line application support to all end users including the diagnosis of system hardware, software, network and user faults. Serves as a liaison between users, vendors and IT.

Ensures system efficiency and security

Provides after hours, weekend, holidays and on-call support on a rotational basis to multiple facilities or provides on-call assistance as needed.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Thorough knowledge of the radiology department processes is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft applications such as excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.

Availability outside normal business hours. Able to take call, if required.

Able to perform tasks independently without need for routine oversight.

Able to provide services timely, accurately, and cost-efficiently in compliance with system standards, policies and procedures.

Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.

Knowledge of EPIC Radiant, Visage PACS, Nuance PowerScribe, TeraRecon, PenRad and other imaging applications.
