Overview

Performs a variety of duties related to the information technology applications. Responsibilities include assisting with design, development, system configuration, implementation and support of information systems for the organization, planning development, training and evaluation of application functionality, working with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate development training and implementation of application functionally.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Radiologic Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Server experience using Server 2012, Server 2016, Server 2019 & Server 2022.
• 2+ years of experience supporting PACS systems in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, IHE standards, and imaging modalities.
• Experience with PACS systems such as Change Healthcare, Sectra, GE, Fuji or Philips.
• Experience with RIS and EHR systems (Epic preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and clinical stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position. The Ideal candidate will be able to work on site and remotely (local to UHS properties). There is an oncall rotation requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot PACS and imaging applications across all imaging departments.
• Support integrations between PACS, modality equipment, and the EHR (e.g., Epic Radiant, Cupid).
• Perform system configurations, updates, and upgrades in coordination with vendors and IT.
• Participate in the implementation and testing of new PACS-related technologies or enhancements.
• Provide end-user support and training to radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess imaging workflow needs and develop optimized solutions.
• Monitor image storage, archiving, retrieval, and disaster recovery processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations and workflow guides.
• Assist in compliance with HIPAA, security protocols, and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotation or provide after-hours support as needed.Job Description

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

Two to three (2-3) years of healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative or revenue cycle), information technology or health information technology experienceORDemonstrated competency in Applications Analyst I role

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields)


License/Certification

Minimum Required:

For Epic roles: Current Epic certification(s) ORWilling to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completion of training at Epic in application as assigned.
