PACS Administrator – Radiology - 40 Hours – Days

GENERAL SUMMARY
Full Time Benefit Eligible
Shift: FT 40 hours per week, day shift, holiday / weekend / evening on - call rotation requirements per department needs. This position will cover both Novi and Southfield Hospitals.
Perform administrative aspects of system management pertaining to the Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS).
+ Manage database and server groups.
+ Perform daily management of PACS anomalies and change process to prevent recurrence.
+ Perform daily management of transcription issues and follow up on all reports not finalized.
+ Manage imaging IS projects from inception to completion.
+ Provide input for operations and capital budget requests.
+ Provide direction and coordination of end user training.
+ Liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:
+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
+ Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:
+ PACS Admin experience preferred but not required.
+ Merge Cloud PACS experience preferred.
