Primary Job Functions

Responsible for continuing improvement and efficiency of departmentEnsuring safety within department while meeting goalsPull bins in order to ensure on-time delivery and availability of binsLead packers by maintaining, deployment of personnel, and providing them with all pertinent information and materials they needSolve problems (product related) as quickly and efficiently as possibleMaintain open communications with Department ManagerMake skid tag labels for packing lines, pack bins when neededMaintain knowledge of QMS and ISO StandardsMaintain a GUNG-HO attitude in support of the Berry Global and ensure that Safety is a priorityFollow and encourage GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)Train and mentor new hires and temporary employees Responsibilities Be a Role Model – No exceptions from safety absolutes and plant rules; You are the face of Berry to everyone on your shift. What you say and do impacts everyone on your shift. Positively and   NegativelyIf you feel a task that you have been asked to complete is unsafe, stop and request additional informationVisible participation in pre shift meetings reiterating safety – importance to the entire organization; reiterate need for employees to participate in their own safety program Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and listen.  The employee frequently is required to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
