Job Description

As a Packer/Floater, you will ensure that proper packaging materials are available to match the production schedule. Your role will involve inspecting products for quality defects such as unwrapped products, loose wrappers, foreign objects, defective packaging, and proper labeling/lot numbers. You will package products in cartons or cases according to specifications, communicate packaging and product quality problems to the line leader or supervisor, and stack fully

packed/sealed cases on pallets according to product specification layout.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper packaging material is available to match the production schedule.Inspect products for quality defects such as unwrapped products, loose wrappers, foreign objects, defective packaging, and proper labeling/lot numbers.Package products in cartons or cases according to specifications.Communicate packaging and product quality problems to the line leader or supervisor.Stack fully packed/sealed cases on pallets according to product specification layout.Wrap full pallet of product with stretch wrap and identify with proper production ticket.Coordinate movement of full pallets with material handler.Ensure work area is clean and orderly at all times.Count and weigh scrap, reporting to line leader or supervisor.

Work Environment

Workin an air-conditioned facility where you will be on your feet all day long. The clean FDA-regulated facility ensures a hygienic work environment, though personal items, foods, and drinks are not allowed on the production floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, North Carolina

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $17.05/hr.
