Your Role:

The Packaging Operator 2 – 2nd Shift  at the Ewing site will stage, fill, cap, label, and over pack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products per approved packaging specifications and according to safety and quality protocols. Job Duties include:

Shift hours: Monday – Thursday, 1:30pm – 12:00am.Complete appropriate packaging documentation per FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures and deliver products to inventory.Fill, cap, and label chemical products manually or using semi-automated equipment. Fill products utilizing aseptic techniques and/or environmentally controlled areas. Transfer bulk material utilizing peristaltic pumps. Filter bulk material using pumps and in-line filters or vacuum filters. Assist with loading bottles and pack-off during fill line operations.Develop and assist in the implementation of process improvement ideas. Comply with the requirements of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001. Participate in 6S activities.Manually fill liquids or powdersMaintain good housekeeping and audit readiness Independently set-up and operate semi-automated fill linesPerform routine cleaning to semi-automated equipmentAssist with the setup and operation of automated fills when needed.Organize and set-up the filling of complex, highly hazardous fillsUtilize semi-automated equipment to fill liquids or powdersUse electronic balances to properly weigh materials Clean laboratory glassware and batch tanks

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED3 + months of chemical packaging, manufacturing, or scientific/laboratory experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Fill, cap, and label chemical products3+ months of experience in ISO/GMP regulated environment3+ months of chemical packaging, manufacturing, or scientific/laboratory experienceAbility to do basic math-including metrics and conversionsKnowledge of safety rules, GMP, SOP’s, UOP’sMechanical skills with ability to use pumps, electronic balances, and material handling equipmentTroubleshoot automated packaging equipmentStrong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skillsAbility to train others and work in a team settingExperience with hand tools
