Our team consists of 10 members with expertise spanning supply chain product launches, change management, IT systems and processes, and packaging engineering. What you can look forward to as a Packaging Engineer I Lead the design and development of packaging solutions for components and finished goods, ensuring compliance with ZF/customer requirements, industry standards, and cost targets. Conduct packaging feasibility studies, utilizing CAD software to create prototypes, 3D models, and technical drawings, and evaluate packaging materials and transportation requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (quality, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and purchasing) to optimize packaging designs and processes throughout the product lifecycle. Manage vendor relationships, evaluate packaging vendors, and oversee packaging validation testing to ensure packaging performance and durability. Calculate packaging costs for BOM and supplier change requests, and prepare presentations for customer negotiations, including logistics costs and project status updates. Ensure timely material flow by managing priorities across departments, maintaining SAP and Axalant data, and developing reports and KPIs to support decision-making while complying with relevant industry standards. Your Profile as a Packaging Engineer I Bachelor's degree with progressive experience, including hands-on material flow/storage equipment problem solving and proficiency in Microsoft, ERP systems, and CAD software. Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop, monitor, and prioritize project timelines and master schedules. Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective time management, and the capacity to work independently while forming strong working relationships. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required. Why you should choose ZF in Gray Court?
