Packaging Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Packaging Engineer at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL.  
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure the product is packaged correctly and according to customer mandatesDevelop and design various packaging for various Aerospace products per specified requirementsEstimate cost for packaging manufactured goods 


The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

Engineering degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience Experience in container or packaging development/designDue to the nature of the work, you must be a US citizen


Desired Skills:
 

Familiarity with SAP ( System Application & Procedures)Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPointProject management experience


Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PMAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
