POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operator – Production Finish operates assigned semi-automatic or manual work cells that anneal, test, coat, assemble or package plumbing products. The Operator must ensure that all products made are to quality standards and report any issues encountered to the Sr. Operator or Team Lead.  

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Makes safety the number one priority by leading by example, addressing unsafe conditions & behaviors, and supporting safety improvement initiativesSupports continuous improvement by participating in events and submitting opportunities for improvementsPerforms routine set ups and simple changeovers; Maintains a clean and organized work areaOperates machine at established production rates; troubleshoots common machine issues, escalating to Sr. Operator or Team Lead as necessaryMonitors components in work area; communicates with material handlers on component shortages or performs material handling duties as neededPerforms visual inspections of components and finished goods to ensure quality requirements are metCompletes paperwork including production reportsCross trains and performs in other work centers as needed to meet customer demandsPerforms other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to maintain safety and organization standardsAbility to repetitively lift a minimum of 35 lbs. and perform repetitive motions with arms and handsAbility to stand while performing work for extended periods of time

Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides
