Tasked with managing the complexities of this significant transformation, this team will focus on key areas such as operational integration, system harmonisation, and cultural alignment, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. With a combination of experts from various disciplines, including change management, IT, finance, and operations, this team will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and drive synergies across both organisations. Their primary goal is to seamlessly merge the two entities, driving growth, optimising resources, and setting the foundation for future innovation and success.
What You Will Get To Do:
The Program Director is accountable for the successful delivery of the entire proposed change on behalf of the senior responsible owner. This includes coordinating the program’s projects, managing their interdependencies, and ensuring the overall integrity and alignment of the program. The role involves overseeing risks and issues, while also facilitating the development of new capabilities within the business to drive effective change and achieve the expected benefits. You will maintain the program environment, supporting each project to ensure seamless execution and alignment with strategic goals. This position reports directly to the senior responsible owner and supports the program or project change daily.
Please note this is a 36 Month Fixed Term Contract
Coordinate program projects and manage interdependencies, risks, and issues.Integrate new capabilities into the business to enable effective change and realize project benefits.Plan, design, and proactively monitor program progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective actions.Define and manage the program's governance arrangements.Ensure quality assurance and maintain the overall integrity of the program, aligning with infrastructure, corporate, technical, and specialist standards.Manage the program’s budget on behalf of the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), monitoring expenditures and costs against realized benefits.Facilitate the appointment of project team members and manage third-party contributions.Ensure the delivery of new products or services on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Allocate resources effectively across the program’s projects.Manage communications with all stakeholders and ensure clarity on dependencies and interfaces.Oversee and mitigate risks to the program’s successful outcome.Collaborate with the business change manager or equivalent to transition to new business-as-usual operations.Initiate additional activities and management interventions as needed to address program gaps or issues.Regularly report program progress to the SRO or Program Director (if applicable)What You Will Bring:
Expertise in building effective networks, negotiating successfully, and influencing key stakeholders.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to command respect and foster a collaborative team environment.Deep knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programsProven experience in developing sound business cases and obtaining necessary approvals.Comprehensive understanding of the procurement process, including successful negotiation with third partiesProficient in program and project management methodologies such as MSP and Prince2Advanced knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management proceduresRelevant Project Management qualifications (e.g., Prince2 or equivalent)Extensive seniority and credibility to provide guidance and advice to project teams on program-related matters.Proven ability to proactively identify and solve issues, ensuring smooth program delivery.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Program Manager and/or Director roles, with a track record of managing large-scale programsExpertise in delivering complex IT, People, and Administration programs, including transitions related to superannuation mergers and acquisitions.Demonstrated success in planning, executing, and delivering large, complex programs on time and within budget.Recruitment Process
