P&O Business Partner – Operations, Electrification and Automation
Location: Wendell NC
The P&O Business Partner is a trusted advisor and strategic partner driving organizational and leadership effectiveness. The successful candidate will be a critical part of the business and will be a strategic thinker with high drive, high expectations, and crisp execution as this position makes a daily impact on the business. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record of translating business strategies into people initiatives that effectively drive and support business performance working effectively within an ecosystem of stakeholders.
Create and lead strategic people priorities (i.e. people experience, workforce development, talent planning, etc.) derived directly from the business strategy to ensure alignment and organizational success. Partner with business leaders to generate actionable data insights that drive strategic decisions and align with forward-looking performance metrics like factory throughput productivity, effectiveness, etc. Lead crucial conversations with leaders and teams to tackle complex challenges, improve team effectiveness, and guide the organization through change and aligning workforce strategies with external trends and internal business demands. Lead, design and evolve early career talent programs such as registered apprenticeships and internship programs in close partnership with the business Champion workforce transformation by identifying emerging skill needs, orchestrating upskilling, and reskilling initiatives, and integrating these into succession planning to build a resilient and future-ready talent pipeline. Influence and coach leaders with thought leadership on adopting cutting-edge technologies, staying ahead of emerging trends, and driving change management to ensure seamless integration and future-proof the organization. Utilize organizational development to diagnose and leverage forward-thinking interventions to enhance adaptability and culture. Champion cultural evolution in the factories by embedding engagement, well-being, and purpose into daily operations, by providing inputs for designing scalable programs that align with long-term business objectives while partnering closely with the positive employee relations team. Stay up to date on Industry 4.0 in technology to coach & guide the business leaders on emerging trends/skills etc. Foster and leverage relationships to enable seamless integration and seize opportunities for synergy across the internal ecosystem (EHS, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Organization, Comp & Ben, Governance & Compliance, etc.), driving impactful outcomes.Competencies:

Must have experience designing, implementing, setting metrics, and managing apprenticeship programs in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor regulations, including collaborating with educational institutions, trade organizations, and government agencies to build sustainable talent pipelines. Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or labor relations or 4+ years of HR experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of 4+ years of HR experience with knowledge of various HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, people relations, performance management, and management consultation. 4+ years of experience in effective relationship-building skills and ability to build a reputation as a trusted advisor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 4 + years of demonstrated ability to research and analyze information and use data to make recommendations. Willingness and ability to travel, estimated at 10-20% for this position. Must be able to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.This position requires the person to be onsite at least 3 days a week.Preferred requirements:
Education in Change Management, Culture, Organizational Development or Executive Coaching are a plus. Experience working in a matrixed environment is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.
