P&C Business Analyst (Finance)

Purpose

To support the P&C Divisional Finance Officer in regard to the APAC Region specific management reporting and business analysis functions.  The primary responsibilities of this role include management reporting, forecasting strategic and operational planning, broker reporting and provision of decision support information to the business departments.

 

Responsibilities

Financial Performance Management

Preparation of various regional/COG reports and commentary relating to financials (P&L tracker, production, acquisition, losses, Early view etc) and other business metrics (submission, quote & bound metric, monthly executive reports, Premium Roll forward, segmentation reports, brokers reports etc). Distribution of monthly/quarterly/annual reports to regional heads, finance and COG Design, build and maintain financial templates required for business reporting. Provide support to local/country business analysts, act as key point of contact for information gathering from in country teams to meet forecasting requirements and timely submission of the required reports to regional management. Ensure P&C reports are produced timely, accurately, highlighting the relevant KPIs, in a uniform format and distributed in a timely manner to appropriate P&C Head, Head of Line of Business and Head of Segment. Support Ad-hoc reporting required by regional P&C Management. Prepare presentation materials as required.

Plan and Forecast 

Assist in preparation and delivery of financial Forecasts, Annual Plan and Strat Plan in Chubb’s financial forecasting and planning reporting system TM1 and Regional/COG Management presentations within the stipulated deadlines. Assist in the monthly review and analysis of the P&C topline and related P&L forecasts submitted by the countries, ensuring key variances are appropriately explained and substantiated

Support, implement initiatives & improvement in the P&C Finance function

Actively look for process improvement opportunities and develop streamlining initiatives.

Other

Assist with wider P&C financial requirements. Facilitate training for in country teams for management reporting, TM1 forecasting and planning and financial analytics related upskilling. Maintenance of Meridian product codes/PACPL/Stat Lines for P&C. Advise countries on appropriate codes to use. Participate in and ensure completion of all relevant finance specific projects and programs; provide inputs into the development of new reports / analysis that incorporated the changing needs of the organization.  Provide ongoing feedback to the BI team on the Insights dashboard. Results oriented, self-motivated, responsible individual with high levels of integrity. Bachelor of Commerce/Accountancy/ Finance/ Economics / Business Administration degree Minimum 3 years work experience Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines  Positive attitude to problem solving and teamwork. Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Demonstrated analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Able to motivate staff and introduce efficient work practices Knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
