Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,500 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including many training services.
As the company grows we have a need to expand our current Training Capability in the Fixed Wing domain. This is an exciting time to join a growing team of training experts.
Reporting to the P-8A Training Delivery Manager, the P-8A Aircrew Course Designer (Rear Crew) is responsible for the analysis, design, delivery and assurance of course material, specifically:
The design and maintenance of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant Aircrew training courseware and training material for the UK P-8A fleet as directed by the Authority including:Aircrew training (including theory and practical elements of Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) (foundation and applied), Limited Combat Ready (LCR) to Combat Ready (CR) and post graduate training)4th Target Audience training including familiarisation trainingOther training, as directed by the Authority.Analysing the design, development, implementation and evaluation of training projects and curricula and assisting in the evaluation of new strategies, methods, technologies and tools related to course design, development and delivery.Providing complete training instruction and guidance in the performance of course design tasks.Course designers within Boeing provide an extremely important service in our drive and determination to provide mission critical solutions to the Defence and Security sector. As a member of the P-8A Training Team you will perform a key role in the successful implementation of a significant project that is of vital importance to our Company and to the Defence and Security of our customers.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
To be successful in this role you will have UK military training needs analysis experience with a background in rear crew training course design preferably with military instructional experience.
Sound knowledge of course design methods and techniques and experience in the design and development of instructor-led and distance learning courseware outputs and be fully conversant with the direction and guidance set out in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822, Defence Direction and Guidance for Training and Education and DSAT.
The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential
