Overnight Site Quality Technician
Overnight Quality Assurance Technician We are seeking a dedicated Site Quality Representative to oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications. This role involves working closely with subcontractors and project management teams to maintain the highest levels of quality assurance throughout the process. The representative will perform inspections, document findings, and communicate any discrepancies to the appropriate parties. Location: Various NYC Subway Stations Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Must-Haves: + Experience : Minimum of 2 years in quality assurance and control or field inspection roles. + Technical Skills: Familiarity with quality control testing and inspection equipment. + Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and resolve quality issues, discrepancies, and deviations from the plan. + Travel: Comfortable working overnight in subway stations throughout NYC Key Responsibilities: + On-Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of sites to ensure that all work is performed according to plans, specifications/drawings/checklists, and quality standards. + Quality Control: Review and verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and on-site techniques. Ensure that methods comply with industry standards and codes. + Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities; report issues and corrective actions to the project manager or project quality manager. + Collaboration: Work closely with the customer, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment on quality goals and project schedule timelines. + Material Verification: Inspect and verify the quality of on-site materials, ensuring compliance with specified requirements and codes. Maintain a material inspection log. + Problem Resolution: Identify non-conformance issues and work with the team to resolve them promptly. Suggest improvements to prevent future issues. + Testing & Audits: Conduct material testing, field tests, and audits to ensure project specifications and standards compliance. Qualifications: + Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance and control or field inspection roles. + Familiarity with quality control testing and inspection equipment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS). + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team collaboration. Physical Requirements: + Ability to work in various weather conditions and construction environments. + Ability to walk, stand, and navigate through construction sites for extended periods. + Ability to work during nighttime hours, including late shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed. Preferred Skills: + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. + Experience with field inspection and calibration tools and quality control documentation. + Experience taking photographs and videos in an industrial setting.
