You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you. **A little more about your role:** In the role of Engineer working on Overhead Transmission Line projects, you will be responsible for supervising a team of design engineers specializing in Overhead Transmission Lines. This team will be working on a variety of projects encompassing overhead transmission lines ranging from 11kV to 400kV. + Providing technical evaluations and offering problem-solving solutions to different team members. + Prepare written proposals outlining everything stakeholders should know about a project, including the timeline, allocating resources, budget, objectives, and goals. + Offer technical guidance and input throughout the project implementation, statutory planning, and participation in Public Consultation events. + Responsible for the engineering and design activities of the team related to the overhead line. This includes PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees, developing design criteria, sag-tension calculations, insulator/conductor blowout, swing angle, damper system recommendations, structure spotting, clearance reports, conductor, and insulator selection, etc. + Conducting feasibility studies, performing conductor thermal ratings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. + Undertake studies to identify a technically preferred solution / layout to take forward to the Client. + Actively taking part in Industry working groups such as CIGRE, IEEE. **If you have experience of the following we'd love to hear from you:** + A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering. + Prior experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV. + Prior experience on upgrading work projects such as utilisation of High Temperature Low Sag conductors. + Desirable – PLS CADD/POLE/TOWER + Knowledge of conducting galloping studies, EMF and Field Effects Calculation, Wake effect, AC Interference for Gas pipelines would be a plus. + The ability to travel as projects dictate.
