Power-Flo Technologies Moonachie has served the needs of the OEM, Industrial, Commercial, and MRO markets in New Jersey since 1934. We are looking for you to join our collaborative team as an outside sales representative.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Will be expected to engage in a minimum of 20 cold calls per week via phone or in personWill be expected to engage in decision maker contact 10 times per week at a minimumWill be required to have a minimum of 20 appointments per weekWill be required to self-source 80% of their own leadsEstimated amount of regional travel within assigned territory is 4 Days of the week on averageIdentify opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical areasGenerate, qualify and manage all sales leads, prospects and new customer accountsWill be expected to go out of state for factor training which will include at times air travelManage Supplier relationships. This will include collaboration with suppliers, pricing negotiations with both customers and key suppliers


Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

3 years of successful outside sales experience in industrial or commercial fieldsKnowledge of Industrial Electrical and Mechanical a plusMust have a good Mechanical Aptitude3 years of experience with Preparation of Proposals, Delivering Presentations, Preparing Call Reports and working with Factory RepresentativesTenacity and inner drive/confidence to successfully overcome objections and outright denials to allow for a successful sale despite the challenging marketplace.Must be willing to commit the required time to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the benefits of the company's products and services and to also remain constantly up to date with new developmentsExperience with selection and sizing of electrical controls, variable frequency drives, DC drives, motors, PLC control systems, operators, switches, etc. is helpful.The successful candidate must be capable of operating with a minimum of supervision, have strong problem-solving skills, strong computer skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work the hours required to exceed sales goals, address customer concerns etc.Valid and clean Driver's License to operate company vehicles
