We are seeking an Outside Sales Associate with background in selling lumber and trusses. The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new commercial business as well as perform cold calls in the field to generate new permanent sales. This candidate can support existing clients and have an ability to conduct product demonstrations. Each Sales Associate will have an assigned Inside Sales Coordinator to assist. This position reports to the Outside Sales Manager/ Vice-President. Job Description: Applicants should be highly motivated, attain an ability to use computer systems, strong work ethic, speaking abilities, and an interest in the construction industry. Responsibilities: + Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers. + Prospect and contact potential customers both in residential and commercial field. + Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline. + Resolve customer inquiries and complaints. + Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments. + Perform building material take-offs. + Travel regularly throughout the area to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone. + Coordinate with Inside Sales Coordinator for estimating, quotes, and to keep account activities up to date. + Collaborate with Design Team to ensure design accuracy and delivery deadline is met. + Develop and maintain customer relationships. Qualifications: + Background in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field + Extensive experience in lumber, floor and roof trusses in commercial and multifamily businesses. + Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills + Highly motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to build rapport with clients + Deadline and detail-oriented Salary and Benefits: Hours are flexible, 7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm, five days per week. Job Type: Full-time Education/Experience: + High school diploma or GED (Required). + Degree in a 4-year accredited university (Preferred). + Previous sales experience in lumber and/or trusses.
