With competitive pay and consistent work hours, this is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the maritime industry. **Essential Functions:** + **Overhaul and Maintain** : Conduct routine maintenance and testing of pumps, valves, turbines, shafts, rudders, winches, and other vital marine equipment. + **Install and Repair** : Install and repair a wide range of machinery, including evaporators, stills, heaters, pumps, and compressors, connecting them to the ship’s systems. + **Precision Machining** : Use math, blueprints, and portable machining tools for precise fitting and assembly of machinery components. + **Machinery Testing** : Conduct rigorous testing and inspection of installed machinery during dock and sea trials to ensure full functionality. **Required Qualifications:** + **Experience** : 3-5 years of experience as a machinist, particularly in the installation, repair, and overhaul of marine equipment such as pumps, valves, and turbines. + **Technical Skills** : Proficiency in applying basic machine shop math and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. + **Machinery Knowledge** : Experience with precision tools, machinery alignment, and machinery testing. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in a shipyard or maritime environment. + Familiarity with shipboard systems and equipment installation procedures. + CNC machine operation experience. + Knowledge of marine propulsion systems and associated technologies. **Ready to Set Sail with Us?
