The RN will ensure compliance with medical protocols, assist with medical assessments, and offer stabilization support to clients. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of care and safety of individuals in treatment, aligning with FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values. Minimum Qualifications: + Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license. + Valid NYS Drivers’ License. + Behavioral health background preferred. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Full-Time Availability: + Monday & Thursdays 12pm-8pm + Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8am-4pm + Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: + Medical Compliance Oversight:Review client medical files to ensure compliance with agency and regulatory policies, practices, and procedures. Ensure all recovery care plans and documentation are complete and up-to-date. + Physician Support:Assist physicians with medical treatment, including supporting client assessments, as requested. + Client Assessments and Tasks:Complete prior authorizations, conduct medical health assessments, observe client urine screens, and perform other department-required tasks. + Client Stabilization:Provide supportive counseling to help stabilize clients during their treatment process. + Supervision and Assistance:Offer direction, supervision, and assistance to LPNs and program staff when medical concerns arise. Provide on-call support as necessary. + Crisis and Emergency Response:Respond to crisis and emergency situations to secure the health and safety of clients. Ensure follow-up communication and documentation adheres to regulatory guidelines. + Staff Participation:Actively participate in general staff meetings, in-service trainings, and supervisory sessions. + Training:Conduct agency training sessions within your area of expertise, as directed. + Other Duties:Perform additional duties and functions as required. Skills & Experience: + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse individuals, staff, and community service providers. + Knowledge of behavioral health systems and care. + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, with strong problem-solving skills. + Understanding of nursing scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act. + Proficiency in learning and using electronic medical records (EHR) for collateral documentation. + This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking clients.
