Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding One Outpatient Psychiatrist (SUD) to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham-Cumberland. The Center of Excellence is/are part of the  Gotham Health Clinics (NYC H+H). The goal of this community-based practice is to provide outpatient services to patients at high risk of contracting Covid-19, as well as short- and long-term follow-up care for those recovering from the disease. Preliminary evidence links Covid-19 to potential heart damage, lung injuries, blood clots, and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to patients in the clinic settingProvide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team as neededParticipate in performance improvement and quality management projects as assignedConduct history and physical examination to include mental health examinations, intake assessments, substance use disorders assessments and suicide risk evaluations.Provide treatment for patients with co-occurring SUD and general mental health disorders in an outpatient settingExperience with the full range of medication assisted treatment (MAT) options, including  for substance use disorderOpioid use disorders and treatment with buprenorphine in its various forms Qualifications Board Eligible or Board Certified in PsychiatryActive, unrestricted NYS LicenseActive DEA WaiverActive X-Waiver preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team settingFamiliarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settingsMust be skilled in psychopharmacology
