Primary Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the selection, replenishment and/or loading of product in the most cost-effective manner. This person must have a strong KPI background and be customer service driven and will be responsible to manage a group of 60 associates in any one of our three departments (dry, each-pick, perishables).  As with all positions at KeHE Distributors we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision and Values.

 

Days: Monday - Friday (Must be flexible as the schedule may change to Sunday - Thursday) 

Shift: 2:00pm - Close ( Training 7:00am - 4:00pm for the first 2-3 weeks)

Essential Functions Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and condition of shipments in a two-building operation.Proactive communication to internal contacts regarding warehouse processes which impact customers and transportation.Inspects shift operations to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and specifications.Ensures that the daily inspection requirements of material handling equipment are adhered to.Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.Must maintain good attendanceProven ability and willingness to take a hands-on approach as necessary, to insure safe operations of all in-house powered MHE.Ensure warehouse associate training is occurring timely.Troubleshoot systems issues, which affect timely delivery and/or receiving of product.Plan daily and weekly production activities when necessaryMaintains distribution center’s HACCPs at acceptable levels and ensures food safety.Ensure Safety and OSHA rules are followed.Maintain inventory integrity by employing “world-class” warehousing and inventory control practices.Must maintain and promote sanitation and facility maintenance.Maintain safeguards of confidential company information. Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude Must have a High School Diploma/GED and a Minimum of two years of experience of related experience.Knowledge of warehouse technology; RF, (gladiators w/ring scanners) Warehouse Management Systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, with an emphasis in Excel and Word.Ability to work day or evening shifts and weekends and Holidays as needed.Must be able to work in a fast pace environment under tight time constrainsSupport and contribute to the overall goals of the Operations Department.Takes initiative and works well independently.Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.Strong Organization and Time Management skills.Able to work effectively with peers in a productive collaborative environment coupled with the ability to be decisive as needed.Must have great interpersonal skills and have an entrepreneurial spirit.Develop strong trusting relationships with each team member through proactive employee engagement.

The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
