**OT Software & Hardware Specialist, Peachtree City, GA**
When you join our team as a **OT Software & Hardware Specialist** , you will work on-site with mill technicians, as well as
collaborate remotely with other teams, to ensure reliable, efficient, and
consistent OT software and hardware solutions. This role offers hands-on
training, mentorship, and opportunities for growth in areas such as automation,
computer networking, and Rockwell Software systems.
**What You’ll Do**
+ **AssetCentre Management & Updates**
+ Maintain and update Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk AssetCentre installations at each location, ensuring all programming capabilities remain functional.
+ Perform periodic software patches and upgrades to keep systems current.
+ **Backup Audits & Troubleshooting**
+ Regularly audit Veeam and AssetCentre backups on OT equipment, identifying and resolving any errors or inconsistencies.
+ Proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
+ **Software & Hardware Development**
+ Develop or replace OT software applications and hardware platforms to address obsolete or defective components.
+ Work closely with engineering teams and mill technicians to integrate new solutions.
+ **System Configuration & Deployment**
+ Configure OT hardware (e.g., industrial computers, network devices) for end users, including the installation and removal of Windows-based programs.
+ Coordinate with IT teams to implement company-wide configuration standards.
+ **Network & Virtualization Support**
+ Assist in setting up and maintaining industrial control networks (e.g., Data Highway+, Remote I/O, Ethernet/IP).
+ Gain exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, vSphere) and Windows Server OS under the guidance of senior staff.
+ **Collaboration & Training**
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including IT, PLC Specialists, and mill technicians—to deliver OT software and hardware projects.
+ Provide basic user training and support to ensure smooth adoption of systems and best practices
**What You Offer**
+ Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a relevant field, such as Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
+ Ability to install, remove, and troubleshoot programs within Windows Operating Systems.
+ Willingness to learn and adhere to site safety policies and procedures.
+ Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (Data Highway+, Remote I/O, Ethernet/IP).
+ Familiarity with installing or configuring Rockwell Software tools (e.g., Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Connected Components Workbench)
+ Exposure to ESXi, VMware vSphere, and Windows Server OS environments.
+ Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
