In this role, you will focus on providing specialized care in hand and upper extremity for adult patients, bringing a strong clinical background, a commitment to education, and an interest in research. **Hand Surgeon Responsibilities & Duties:** + Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with hand injuries and conditions + Conduct surgical procedures to repair or reconstruct hand injuries and conditions + Provide post-operative care, including wound care, rehabilitation, and follow-up appointments + Collaborate with other medical professionals, including physical therapists and nurses, to ensure optimal patient outcomes + Stay current with advancements in hand surgery and incorporate new techniques into practice + Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress + Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals **Hand Surgeon Qualifications & Skills** + Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery and subspecialty certification in Hand Surgery + Active medical license in good standing + Significant experience in hand surgery, with a strong track record of successful patient outcomes + Excellent surgical skills and attention to detail + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work effectively as part of a team + Commitment to ongoing professional development and education Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, a 337-bed tertiary care facility, outpatient clinic and Level I trauma center with a recently completed state of the art emergency department.
