The ideal candidate will assist dentists with procedures, perform administrative tasks, and ensure excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain patient records and schedule appointments
- Provide patients with post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or equivalent experience
- X-Ray certification preferred
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Familiarity with Epic or other medical records systems
- Strong medical coding skills
- Ability to perform patient assessments

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
