We have an exciting opportunity for a **Orion Environmental Control and Life Support System Subsystem Manager** to join the team with Bastion, a teammate company. The **Orion Environmental Control and Life Support System Subsystem Manager** will: + Be a Subsystem Manager for the Orion ECLSS including the following: + Assume full oversight responsibility (under the direction of the NASA ECLSS System Manager) for all engineering and operations decisions for Orion ECLSS related topics + Be responsible for one of the subsystems including Air Revitalization Subsystem (ARS), Pressure Control Subsystem (PCS), Potable Water Supply (PWS), and Crew Waste Management + Review system architectures, hardware requirements, designs, assembly procedures, test plans, procedures and data of Orion ELCSS subsystems + Certify ECLSS hardware for flight and/or reflight + Assess and understand engineering drawings and sketches + Provide recommendations for materials selection for flight hardware + Be able to troubleshoot and investigate hardware failures and provide recommendations to get hardware back to working condition + Understand and utilize commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for ECLSS hardware on Orion Elements + Support real time system operations, including flight support in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER) + Handle communications between various hardware providers and sustaining organizations + Take point in exchanging information with a wide range of stakeholders including, but not limited to, the Orion Program, JSC Engineering, Vehicle Office, and Kennedy Space Center + Perform other duties as assigned by the ECLSS System Manager. + Some travel required. + Perform other duties as required. **Requisition Qualifications:** This position has been posted at multiple levels.
