Orientation Counselor

Orientation Counselor The Orientation Counselor is responsible for coordinating and delivering services in accordance with the program design to engage and assist new residents acclimating to the programming while insuring maximum retention of new residents. Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Job Specific Criteria: + Provides individual and group counseling sessions, as assigned. + Orients and assists new residents with adapting to program rules and structure. + Complete and accurate documentation of clinical care i.e., treatment plans, progress notes and individual notes. + Supervise daily activities and exercises with orientation residents. + Supervise clients in self-medication. + Participate in supervision. + Communicate all pertinent information incidents, emergencies, via SAC book/house manager. + Crisis interventions and follow thru with documentation incident, accident and/or elopement reports. + Supervision of client population in daily activities, as needed. + Participate in special family events throughout the year at Outreach House I. + Initial and ongoing screening of resident and resident property in accordance with unit procedure. + Communicate all pertinent information, incidents and emergencies using the appropriate system including the SAC communication log, incident reports and 24 hour on-call supervisor. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in the field. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to travel among assigned sites and locations as needed.
