Ordnance Technician II

As an Ordnance Technician II, you will be responsible for repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key aircraft weapons and egress components. You'll perform the necessary checks related to these components, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. You'll use a variety of provided tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced, and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work. Qualifications You Must Have:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationUnderstanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings Basic understanding of  avionics installation tooling, ordnance related equipment and aircraft armament weapons systemsExperience with wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation, ordnance installation, repair and maintenanceExperience with soldering and crimping techniquesExposure to ejection seats, SUU-20's, MK-81's, BDU's, and rocket podsMust have reliable transportation to and from work locationsAbility to speak, read and write in EnglishFamiliarity in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft ejection seats and weapons systemsBase level knowledge of flightline operational schedules.The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Familiarity with Edwards AFBBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitaryMartin-Baker ejection seat experience.50 caliber machine gun experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $25.24 - $34.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
