Key Role

Receives, stores, transports, handles, tests, installs, inspects packages, and ships explosive ordnance items. Supports rocket launch operations at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) and Kennedy Space Center (KSC) including receiving rocket components and transporting rocket components to the launch site, assembling, and testing rocket components. Operates heavy equipment and vehicles. Operates cranes and forklifts including critical lifts of ordnance, critical flight hardware and explosives. Provide ordnance and weapons handling, loading/unloading of torpedoes to support the US Navy-NOTU. Operates lifts, pallet jacks, industrial shop equipment, portable generators, and chain saws. Plans and schedules ordnance and facility maintenance tasks. Ensures work areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Secures job sites and work areas, turns off equipment, locks doors or gates. Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings.
