Gundersen Health System’s Department of Dental Specialties is recruiting for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to work at our La Crosse and outreach clinics.
The successful candidate will be board certified or actively seeking board certification. The applicant will have a Wisconsin and Minnesota Dental license or be eligible to obtain both. The candidate will join a busy broad scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in our La Crosse, Onalaska, Prairie du Chien, Tomah, and Winona clinics. Being part of an integrated health system leads to immediate access to operating rooms and many other resources. We seek a candidate who is innovative with the ability to collaborate with others. Our clinics offer state of the art equipment, a highly trained staff, and outstanding compensation potential in our physician led health system. This setting provides a unique blend of private practice while being involved in an academic setting.
The Dental Specialties Department is comprised of a team of dental specialists including orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. We are proud to have a robust referral base within the dental community. As Gundersen Health System is an integrated health system, we work collaboratively across many clinical departments to provide high-quality care to our patients. Outside of the dental specialties, much of the interdepartmental collaboration is with otolaryngology, surgery/trauma, oncology, sleep medicine, and the cleft team.
Gundersen Health System offers one of the best work environments in the nation, loan forgiveness, competitive salary, and a great benefits package. Our service to the area includes regional clinics throughout Southwestern Wisconsin, Southeastern Minnesota, and Northeastern Iowa. La Crosse has an area population over 120,000 and is unequalled for its natural beauty in the Upper Mississippi River Valley. It also offers many outdoor activities, a vibrant downtown, and an excellent school system and art programs.
Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
